Warranty Conditions

At Fantasia Light Designers we do everything we can to offer quality lighting. In addition, we ensure that the products meet the legal requirements regarding usability, reliability and lifetime. Only the buyer who has purchased the products directly from Fantasia Light Designers (the customer) can claim any right under these warranty conditions. The warranty only applies to products purchased and installed by the end customer in the territory of the EU/Switzerland. All warranty obligations of Fantasia Light Designers lapse if the customer has not paid for the goods in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions. Our warranty for the complete devices is standard 2 years from the date on the proof of purchase. The legal warranty rules as arising from Articles 1649bis-1649octies of the (old) Civil Code are hereby followed. The warranty period can be up to 5 years. The warranty is hereby tailored to the product. Information regarding this deviating warranty can be found on the packaging or in the technical data sheet of the product on our website www.fantasia.be.

1. What is included in the warranty?

Our warranty covers both hidden defects and technical defects of the product that occurred before delivery. If the product is defective, we will always first look in accordance with the EU ecodesign directive to repair it. If it appears that the delivered product cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a similar device.

2. Conditions to benefit from the warranty

• The product may only be used for the purpose for which it was designed, in accordance with the advice of our employees, the information on our website, in our catalogue, on the packaging and/or the manual.

• The product has been installed and used correctly.

• The customer is not allowed to make any changes to the device.
• The installation is not subject to voltage fluctuations that differ by more than 10% from the mains voltage of 230V/50Hz.

• The customer must provide the proof of purchase for inspection.

• The indicated warranty period in years is always based on a number of burning hours of a maximum of 4000 hours/year.

3. What is not included in the warranty?

Fantasia Light Designers does not compensate :

• Costs incurred to replace or repair the product. For example, working hours or renting an aerial platform.

• Incompatibility with other electronic components/controls, such as dimmers, home automation systems, lamps, etc. which were not supplied by us, but which must control our appliances or which are used together with our appliances.

• External factors such as peak currents, over and under voltages, ...

• Exposure to wear and tear, excessive corrosive conditions, poor maintenance, incorrect or injudicious use of the products…

• Use-specific wear: according to the current state of the technology, the luminous efficiency of LEDs can decrease over the lifespan, but they do not suddenly fail. This aging process (degradation) is primarily the result of thermal influences on the crystal and is considered completely normal in LED technology. The LEDs are still fully functional at the end of their lifespan, but with a lower luminous efficiency. This means that according to the current state of science and technology, the decrease in the lighting effect of the LED lamps within the service life does not constitute a defect.

4. Warranty procedure
We make a distinction here between professional customers (Business to Business) and consumers (Business to Consumer):

B to B
If a product is defective, faulty or incomplete, the customer must report this as soon as possible. It is best to do this by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Always state "RMA (return material authorization) request" + your customer number + our article reference in the subject of the email. The customer must always provide the following information:

• Product reference number

• a description of the reason for the RMA request, any defect

• photos of the relevant product and installation.

• a copy of the proof of purchase.

• details of the installation: use, location, actual number of burning hours, switching cycles, controls, ...

If Fantasia Light Designers deems it necessary, the customer must allow a representative of Fantasia Light Designers access to the product at the installation site and give him/her the opportunity to inspect the installation. Fantasia Light Designers' warranty obligations are limited, at Fantasia Light Designers' option, to either repairing the defective product within a reasonable time or replacing the defective product with a similar product. Due to technical progress and possible design changes, the replacement part or replacement product may differ from the original. Repairs or replacements do not extend or renew the applicable warranty period. After an initial check against the information provided by the customer, Fantasia Light Designers will decide whether to return the unit for service or, if possible, deliver a specific part. If the device has to be returned, the customer will give it to our carrier. For this, the customer receives an RMA document that must always accompany the returned item. The repaired device will be returned to the customer as soon as possible, via the same route. If the device can no longer be repaired or replaced by a similar product, Fantasia will refund the purchase value in the form of a voucher. The product or part to be replaced then becomes the property of Fantasia.

 

B to C
If a product is defective, faulty or incomplete, the customer/consumer must report this as soon as possible. He/she should do this by sending a message to the point of sales, where the device was purchased or by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. The customer/consumer must always provide the following information:

• Product reference number

• A description of the reason for the RMA request, any defect

• Photos of the relevant product and installation.

• A copy of the proof of purchase.

• Details of the installation: use, location, actual number of burning hours, switching cycles, controls, ...

If Fantasia Light Designers deems it necessary, the customer/consumer must allow a representative of Fantasia Light Designers access to the product at the installation site and give him/her the opportunity to inspect the installation. Fantasia Light Designers' warranty obligations are limited, at Fantasia Light Designers' option, to either repairing the defective product within a reasonable time or replacing the defective product with a similar product. Due to technical progress and possible design changes, the replacement part or replacement product may differ from the original. Repairs or replacements only lead to the suspension of the current warranty period for the duration of the repair or replacement, not to renewal of the applicable warranty period. After an initial check on the basis of the information provided by the customer/consumer, Fantasia Light Designers will decide whether the device should be returned for inspection or, if possible, a part will be delivered. Our guarantee is “carry-in”. If the appliance has to be returned, the customer/consumer should arrange this with the point of sales or bring the appliance directly to the Fantasia workshop. The repaired device will be returned to the customer/consumer as soon as possible, via the same route. If, exceptionally, no repair or replacement is possible, the customer/consumer has the option of requesting either the dissolution of the agreement or an appropriate price reduction.
